The Ethermac ExchangeNational Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued recalls last week for more than 3 million vehicles, including more than 1.7 million Kia cars and 1.6 million Hyundai cars issues that could spark a fire.

Here are the vehicle recalls published by the NHTSA from Sept. 23-Sept. 30.
Major recall:Kia, Hyundai recall over 3.3 million vehicles for potential fire-related issues
Kia recall
Kia is recalling 1,730,192 vehicles because the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) may cause an electrical short, resulting in an engine compartment fire, according to an NHTSA report. This may increase the risk of an injury.
Kia asks owners to keep their cars parked outside and away from any structures until the recall is complete. If there is a problem, they will replace the HECU at no cost.
Notification letters will be mailed by Nov. 14. Owners can contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's recall number is SC284.

Hyundai Recall
Hyundai is recalling 1,642,551 vehicles for a problem with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module, says a NHTSA report. Break fluid may leak internally and cause an electrical short. This can cause an engine compartment fire which may increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Owners of these cars are asked to park outside and far away from any structures until the repair is done.
Notification letters to owners are supposed to be mailed by Nov. 21. if you need to call you may reach Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's recall number is 251.

Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator recall
Chrysler is recalling 6,298 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles that have a manual transmission. These vehicles rearview camera may fail according to NHTSA. Also the reverse lights may not light up when the vehicle is reversing. These two problems can lower the drivers ability to see and not alert other drivers that the vehicle is reversing.
The gear position sensor will be replace by a dealer, free of charge.
Notification letters are expected to be mailed Nov. 7. If you need to contact Chrysler customer service their number is 1-800-853-1403. The number is 92A for this recall.

Subaru recall: Outback, Legacy, Ascent, and Impreza
Subaru is recalling 4,311 Outback, Legacy, Ascent, and Impreza vehicles. A NHTSA report says that the center support bolts that are attached to the driveshaft may come undone. This will make the front end of the driveshaft disconnect, which can cause a crash.
Dealers will clean the bolt mounting surfaces of the center support brace and install new bolts.
Subaru customer service number is 1-844-373-6614. The recall number is WRN-23. Notification letters will be mailed Nov. 20.

Kia recall: Forte
Kia is recalling 3,866 of some of its 2023 Forte vehicles. NHTSA said the right lower front arm may not have been welded properly. This may cause a sudden loss of steering control.
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair is done. If a repair is necessary, dealers will replace it free of charge.
Notification letters will be mailed Sept. 27. Kia's customer service number is 1-800-333-4542. The recall number is SC283.

BMW recalls: Rolls-Royce
According to a NHTSA report, BMW is recalling 1,305 of some 2021-2023 Rolls-Royce Ghost vehicles. The tempered glass may break in a crash. This can result in an injury in a crash.
A protective coating will be applied by dealers to the tempered glass at no charge.
If you need assistance, you may call Rolls Royce customer service at 1-877-877-3735. Notification letters will be mailed out by Nov. 13.

BMW recall: 740i, 760i, xDrive and i7 xDrive60
BMW is recalling some of its 2023 740i, 760i xDrive and i7 xDrive60 vehicles. The vehicle windshield wiper may possibly fail in certain weather conditions says a NHTSA report. This may reduce visibility, which can increase the risk of a crash
Dealers will inspect and replace the windshield wiper system at no charge.
BMW customer service number is 1-800-525-7417. Notification letters will me mailed out on Nov. 20.

Hyundai recall: 2024 Kona
Hyundai is recalling 2,354 of its certain Kona vehicles. According to a NHTSA report, the rear seatbelts may not work properly. If a crash were to occur then an occupant may not be properly restrained, this can result in an injury.
If there is a problen with the rear seatbelt then dealers will repace it free of charge.
Notification letters will be mailed Nov. 21. Owners can contacts Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. The recall number is 250.

General Motors recalls: Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon
General motors is recalling 189 of certain 2023 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. The arm bolts on the rear suspension outer control possibily were not properly heat-treated. This will cause the bolts ot break and misalign the rear wheel according to a NHTSA report.
Nov. 6 is when notification letters will be out. If you need any assistance owners can contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020; Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006; and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. N232415910 is GM's recall number.
